In the late 90s I used to take the bus from Ridgewood Queens to get to Brooklyn Tech HS. It drove through Bed Study and it was really ghetto. I can't believe anyone would spend 3M to live there. What a cesspool it was.

30 years ago. Catch up grandma.

Umm yea... It was 1998 so you must have either failed math or you are from West Virginia. Good day!

Sorry, can’t get past the astoundingly creepy doctored photos. The fridge in front of the cabinets!?? Come on, at least photo shop better than my 12 year old.

I have relatives that bought in Bed Sty for over 3M. They hear gun fire from their backyard and see rats after dark on the sidewalks. I don't get it.

Fonzie jumped the shark on Happy Days is where it comes from

I know where it comes from. "Jumped the shark" means something (usually a TV show, but can be applied to other entities) has reached its peak and is beginning its inevitable descent...the beginning of the end...declining in popularity. If Brooklyn were jumping the shark, that would mean its housing values are going down, quality is going downhill, and people don't want to live there anymore. The fact that a house under a train is about to sell for $2 mil is the opposite of jumping the shark!
