You don't need hard shells. They're garbage.

You don't need to keep the hard shells warm.

Fried shells for home taco night are the only acceptable crunchy tacos. These are too labor intensive for a taco bar. You need to make sure your corn tortillas are super fresh from a Mexican market or tortilleria or they will be dry and crack easily. Heat them in a dry skillet and wrap in foil to keep warm. You can also microwave with a damp paper towel or put them in a slow cooker to keep warm. Good tortilla chips and salsa are always a hit. Consider roasted seasoned potatoes with onions as a filling option.

This has to be a joke...

No, never. I think the crunchy shells are weird and would enjoy the soft (ideally corn) tortillas.

OP here - cute video! I'm making my own carnitas and taco blend, but I'm still, yes, having a white person taco (tortilla?) night.

Okay, OP here - I feel better! My own family only likes soft (corn & flour) tortillas, so I wasn't sure. I have crunchy chips just in case. I have all the toppings...hopefully everyone will be happy.

Real tacos come in soft tortillas.

WTH! No. I order tacos out all the time and never once have they been in hard shell. It’s fine to say it’s a taco bar. Chips and guacamole and salsa on the side.

I could get hard shell tacos, but then how to keep them warm? Do people eat them cold??

Why can't you serve chard shell tacos??

Huh? You know that a crunchy shell isn’t what makes a taco a taco, right?

If you attended a taco bar party, but only soft shell tortillas (flour & corn) were available, would you be disappointed? Would you miss crunchy taco shells? Would it help if there were crunchy tortilla chips?
