Belly's reaction at prom kinda made sense, from the perspective of a self centered teenager. The funeral reception scene was rough.

I always love the actors whose play Conrad, Jeremiah, Belly, brother. They’re all cute.

I dislike Taylor. I think I know too many people from my high school like her character, I see where the actually ended up, and it’s hard to watch someone on the precipice of that. (Lol??) I’m sure the actress is a wonderful person.

I don’t have much to say about episodes, one and two. I do like the flashbacks and present-time back and forth. Sometimes that annoys me on shows but it’s good.

Episode 3: the prom scene is sad. I think belly is a little unreasonable. She does know she has a boyfriend with a dying mom right? Just chill out about prom. It’s so small in the scheme of things.
Now, I do agree w the stupid reality of her jumping or breaking up. I did that with someone I loved in my 20s even!! (Stupid) but actually I see now we weren’t a match so we would have been there inevitably.

I feel like none of the actors are particularly good but that didn't matter so much in the more fun and frilly season 1. Now that things are more dramatic you can really see how bad the actors are. It's borderline cringe-y.

I liked the first season. Having a mini-vacation at home & watching the 2nd season to fill my time.

Maybe you're right. But there is a lot about the moms and adult female friendship so it feels like it's meant to be for mothers and daughters.

Interesting choice to put the big spoilers upfront and then intersperse present day and flashbacks. Anyone know if the book was written that way or if it was chronological?

I couldn't make it through Season 1. So, thank you for the heads up about Season 2.

Is so dull and depressing, every episode is just closeups of the characters crying. I loved season 1.
