I've been in August. Best advice is to get started on the hikes early beacause it gets rather crowded. Chances are you'll be getting up early anyway with a 3 & 6 yo (?).

Haven't been in August, but was there in February and got in three hikes in due to unseasonably warm weather. We had a 2 year old, two 5 year-olds, and two 8 year-olds in our party. We did Old Man's Cave, Rock House, and Ash Cave. Two year old got tired and needed shoulder rides part of the time, but otherwise the kids were able to do and enjoyed those three hikes. Old Man's Cave and Ash Cave were both very busy, and it wasn't that warm the day we did Ash Cave. All three hikes were beautiful - highly recommend!

Has anyone been to hocking hills mid to late August. Wondering how it is (are the waterfalls flowing?) and how are crowd levels?

I’d be solo with a 3 and 6 year old. Are there easy enough hikes that we could enjoy? Thinking about adding 2 days here on a road trip we have planned. Thanks!
