Put school out of your mind until mid-August. You have another month to be in summer mode. Not short.

It depends on school. Some send out via snail mail, others email and others post a list.

The Thursday before school starts is when we share the class teacher.

Our elementary school typically has open house the Thursday before school starts. The teacher assignments are sent out in an email at the beginning of that week, traditionally Monday evening. This year that would be around August 14.

I think this is standard for most elementary schools.
