GB is 4 days of new teacher induction activities (Aug 7-10 this year). The first 3 days are at a central site--one day is spent with your specific curriculum representatives, and Day 4 is spent in your building (school-based orientation).
You will get a stipend for attending those 4 days; I don't know what the amount currerntly is. I started with FCPS over 20 years ago--I don't remember if it was mandatory when I onboarded. I can ask the county GB leaders if it's mandatory now.
The email didn’t say it’s mandatory, but it also didn’t mentioned that it’s optional. While I’m new to teaching, but I’m not new to my school…what will I learn during the training?
