Hospice is generally an add on- they come to where ever the patient is. so, the nurse will visit once a week, someone can come and do a bath 2-3 times a week, a social worker may come every other week. Things like that.

Yes, they say he has 6 months left so he would qualify.

In our case elder was in the hospital so it was whoever they had for hospice no company. Hospice is for when someone is dying. Id your elder dying?

FWIW we know family member would qualify but need to weigh that against not being able to see a urologist and some other doctors for other ongoing issues.

Does anyone have a hospice company they like that has experience with hospice for Alzheimer’s/Dementia?

I’m hoping to find one that can help with bad agitation/Sun downing/falls. Loved one is already in an absurdly expensive memory care but it isn’t helping. I heard hospice may help but not sure.
