But re-heated chicken tastes awful, and that makes me sad. All those wonderful spices, and it's just so very sad.

It’s full of flavor and heat and I love it so much I eat it just about every other week. I make a big batch which takes a few hours for all the chopping and cooking and simmering the flavors together - but then I don’t have to cook for a week because it’s right there in the fridge waiting for me. When I dish out the last serving I’m always a little bit sad.

Some people cannot stand to eat the same thing day after day but I definitely can, so long as the thing is terrific like my curry. Leftovers of a dish you love and that holds up well - gets better even! - to being in the fridge is one of life’s loveliest simple pleasures.

I’m like this with Japanese curry. I eat it for days, sometimes with rice other times with udon. I always tell myself I’m going to freeze some and never do.

I was thinking this was 20 Questions about Ops favorite food.

Bacon would have been a good answer

Have a drink. Watch some Netflix.
Maybe some dessert.
Don’t cry.
It will get better.

This is why I eat a lot of frozen pizzas and veggies burgers, etc. I also like to graze on cheese, fruit, nuts, and bread.

Pro: it's been a great way to maintain my weight.

“Maintain your weight” for what? A possibly longer life of eating frozen pizza? Ew.

Make enough to yield leftovers. Duh. Leftovers are the best.

Just enjoy the process of cooking and eating. Try being in the moment. It's a journey

I cooked and I ate it and I was happy and now it's gone and I am sad.
