We have a Ninja that cost around $90 that makes amazing pina coladas and smoothies etc. But if it makes you feel better, go ahead and spend more money than necessary.
I would argue the opposite. If you’re going to shell out 90 to get an “acceptable” blender than that’s a lot to pay for something that’s not excellent at the one thing it does. I’d rather pay the extra for something that is best in class and will last years and years.
The description I used was ‘amazing’

I'm thinking of getting a full blender instead. It would be nice to be able to blend ice in our smoothies but I'm not sure it's worth $190 for a Vitamix. There is a Ninja blender and food processor for only $120. Or I can just get a new stick blender and not use ice but even those range from $35-$135.
So I guess I'm wondering if people think the Vitamix is worth the extra money? Or is there another brand you love for frozen drinks and smoothies? Also how is cleaning? I think the reason we switched to a stick blender is because it was so much easier to clean.
Great Pleasures in Life:
1. Having a weekly housekeeper
2. Italy
3. Coitus
4. Vitamax 5200
5. Coffee
