Nothing else works as well as a vitamix. The ninja isn’t going to make whole flax seeds disappear into a smoothie. I love my vitamix. Just like the Airwrap it’s money well spent.

My Vitamix has lasted 15 years and still going strong. Tons of power and I use it daily. Totally worth it.

I would argue the opposite. If you’re going to shell out 90 to get an “acceptable” blender than that’s a lot to pay for something that’s not excellent at the one thing it does. I’d rather pay the extra for something that is best in class and will last years and years.

Listen, you can drop big money on a vitamix but the reality is that a cuisinart or ninja are going to do the job you need. We have a Ninja that cost around $90 that makes amazing pina coladas and smoothies etc. But if it makes you feel better, go ahead and spend more money than necessary.

Soooo worth it. We have used ours almost every day since we got it in 2017. When I use other blenders on vacation I notice how much worse the smoothies are. If you blend things like nuts, seeds, cacao, a vitamix will blend them so much more smoothly. Same for sauces like a pesto or dressing.

Yes it's worth every penny. I used to think like you, but after going through 2 subpar blenders, we're now firm converts to vitamix. We use it for smoothies and it works extremely well and cleans up super easy (a drop of dish soap, add some water, blend for 15 seconds, and it's clean--no need to take apart the blades and such). 190 is a great price for vitamix--go for it!

I love my Vitamix 5200. It’s the barebones model that restaurant kitchens use, no presets and there’s a bit of a learning curve. But it makes excellent smoothies and blended soups, crushes ice really well, is great for nut milks and butters, and is easy to clean as well. I like the shape of the traditional 64 Oz jar better than the low profile one designed to fit under wall cabinets, because the narrower bottom means you can blend even small quantities well with the funneling action.

We need to get a new immersion blender and there are a ton of sales today at Amazon and Target and pretty much any online retailer. I'm thinking of getting a full blender instead. It would be nice to be able to blend ice in our smoothies but I'm not sure it's worth $190 for a Vitamix. There is a Ninja blender and food processor for only $120.
