One thing I like about Honda is many of their vehicles (all? I’m not sure) have something called “brake hold” where you push the button at a drive through window or stoplight and the car will stay in place with your foot off the break. It’s really nice to be able to take your foot off the brake and stretch.

Does the battery in a PHEV get charged when the car is running on gasoline or does it only get charged using the plug-in method?

We compared both and went with the Hybrid CR-V. We liked the drive and styling better. Minuses include no spare tire and all trims have blindspot. I think we paid less for our CR-V though when compared to a RAV4 with similar trim level.

RAV-4 Prime, if its in your budget. It gets 43 miles of all-electric driving. Plus, I think the interior is nicer.

Thanks! Looks like a helpful article. The cargo space is pretty important to us, too, and both dealers claimed more cargo space, so this breakdown makes sense.

Our family (two adults + two kids (7 and 9) is looking to trade it our compact sedan for a relatively small new SUV. Because of the size of our garage, anything larger than a CR-V is out of the question. We are basically down to the 2023 RAV4 hybrid and the 2023 CR-V hybrid. Anyone done this analysis recently and able to compare the two? Anyone have one of these and love/hate it?

We drove both, and find them pretty indistinguishable, but it is really hard to tell from just a test drive. Thank you!!!
