People near us do that for their kids! I see middle school kids I know on our wait list. Ours has geographic boundaries, so the parents are betting that the wait list will last long enough for their kids to finish school, get a job, and make enough money to move back to the neighborhood.

Cardinal Hill Vienna. Got an email offering us a membership five years after we moved away! LOL. Thought we might offer it to the people renting our house but by this point we had sold the house!

I wonder the same thing. We are in FFX Co and joined a pool within earshot of another that had (has) a waitlist.

We got off the waitlist for Palisades 2 years ago after getting on in 2012.

We moved to an area a decade ago with very few pools. I’m curious how our situation compares to VA/MD pool waitlists. We’ve been on a waitlist for a pool since 2012. With luck we expect to be off of it by summer 2024 or 2025.
