My level of family: I would try to save everyone in a fire, but humans come first.

I love my dogs so so so so much. They are my family but not at the same level as my human kids.

Dogs are higher in my opinion. I have human relatives who are not as loyal as my dog!


this is more common among people who live alone (and who are childless)

My dogs are my family since I live with them and hang out with them every day. I have some aunts and cousins in other states and countries but no other family.

Dogs are higher in my opinion. I have human relatives who are not as loyal as my dog!

My husband loves our dog A LOT but definitely doesn’t think a pet is on par with a human family member. Put another way, if we had to make a decision between the dog and a kid, he would choose the kid. But, if he had to make a decision between our dog and a random kid (like a kid scared of dogs so would need to lock the dog up he would say that kid can’t come over).

I take good care of my 4 pets, and foster pregnant dogs and care for their puppies... but no, they are definitely not on par with human relatives.
