You can do it yourself, there are plenty of online guides but in general use the extra large capacity front loader at the laundromat, delicate cycle and don’t over soap or use harsh laundry soap - something like Woolite or other delicates soap would be best.

If you decide to tumble dry on low in the large capacity dryer, bring a set or two of wool dryer balls to put in with the topper that will help speed the drying process by fluffing the topper as it tumbles.

I would rather wash than dry clean to avoid the poisons of dry cleaning which you’d then be exposed to every night all night until all the offgassing was done.

But you’d be better off to spend a few bucks to use the extra large capacity front loader at your local laundromat.

I think that really is a dry clean only item.

I have this down mattress topper from parachute:

I love it, but it’s definitely time to wash it. I was hoping to tackle it this weekend. The care instructions say dry clean only. Do you think it’s necessary to take it to the dry cleaner or would it be possible to wash it in the washing machine on delicate and dry with no heat? I have an LG wash tower, the large capacity size. Thanks!
