But it only came at the expense of tearing down another woman. If you can’t see that, then that’s really sad. All OP had to do was post:

“I’m so proud of myself. I’ve been working really hard for the past 6 months on getting fit. I just needed to share that I’m looking fabulous today.”

See how that’s different from what was posted? No comparison or trashing of someone else.

You can’t tear anyone down on an anonymous board. You, however, are tearing down OP to her face? And for what?

The poster made a good point, though, and one the OP, and maybe you, needed to hear

On the other hand you are like a 1 in terms of character. Way to go?

Good for you.

Social media is a toxic wasteland. I’m in the best shape of my life and I have almost no pictures because it doesn’t mean anything to me. I don’t care what others see. I care about my physical and mental health.

Exactly! And don’t worry, I saw some young girls soon after that brought me right back down 🤣 But I am proud that my successes are 100% my own and REAL.

The real problem is not just the smugness you’re feeling today but that you actually exerted energy feeling envious (not jealous—wrong use here). Just focus on you. It’s a much better look.

I’m feeling so… I can’t describe how I’m feeling, so I’ll just share. Shamelessly. Please don’t judge me; my feelings are my feelings!

I’ve been working my ass off for the past couple years, but particularly this past six months. I have an old friend who I haven’t seen in years who has been working with a private trainer and posts these amazing pics on social media. I am getting in better shape but I’m also so jealous of how awesome she looks.

She unexpectedly came into town and I saw her yesterday. THE INTERNET LIES! When I tell you she looks nothing, NOTHING, like the pics she posts. I suddenly felt like a 10 and so in shape next to her. I EARNED this, I didn’t just slap on a filter and stand in good lighting.
