I was surprised by the Hyattsville division crime stats (you can view them separately on the dropdown menu on top). Things have really declined! I live in Silver Spring and the crime is definitely rising.
That division included Langley Park, Chillum etc which have higher crime. Another form of statistics that won’t help you much.
I mean even where I live in Mt Rainier we only have 8000 residents, but crime statistics aren’t going to be that reflective of the day to day depending on where you live because most of the crime is concentrated in specific apartment complexes and by the big bus stop.
