This is the worst part! I can't dress rationally when the thermostat in the office is the same year-round. And I swear I get sick more moving from very chilly indoor spaces to outdoor heat (we keep our AC at home in the mid to high 70s so it's not as extreme a change).

I cover myself up completely when I am outside. Long sleeve cotton flowy shirts. Long cotton or linen pants, or jeans. Socks, shoes. Hat. sunglasses.

I come from a tropical country. You protect yourself from the sun and mosquitos. You do not go out in the hottest part of the day. You create shade around your house.

You close the blinds in all the rooms in the house and let it be cool and dark. You turn on the whole house fan in your AC so that you do not have to run the AC all the time. You run a room ACs in your bedrooms at night. Because you don't need to cool the whole house.

No I've seen people taking morning walks in jeans.

Sure, it's only 75 degrees at 7am, but the humidity is thicccc. I don't want to know what dank moistness is going on in their pants. Gross.

Some people are genetically predisposed to tolerate heat. My husband and son are always cold in winter, and are able to go out, garden, run errands without complaint in this weather. It's 76 in my house currently and my son is wearing a sweatshirt over his t-shirt! My husband has very heavy jeans on and has been working on his car outside. Mosquitoes aren't very interested - apparently, they don't give off much yummy CO2.

Meanwhile, my daughter and I do the dog's long walk as early as possibly in the morning, take pains to find breezy cotton voile clothing, and don't go out unless we absolutely need to in this weather, otherwise we get 10 mosquito bites a minute!

It's gross. Absolutely foul out. And how the hell are people wearing JEANS in this weather?

I hate this weather with the passion of a thousand fiery suns. At least the fiery suns are probably dry fiery suns, and not a tropical muggy swampy moist damp sweaty humid gross drippy mess.
