Oh my goodness, are you seriously this tone-deaf?

People like pictures of flowers they sent so that they can see the product and judge the quality. For example, I once sent a bouquet of white peonies, ranunculus and roses to a friend. I specified no lilies because those smell like death and I hate them/they remind people of funerals.

When she sent the text, it was ALL lilies. I called the florist and it was corrected. They said she could keep the original lilies. All was well, but if she had called to thank me and hadn’t sent them at all, I wouldn’t have known.

Or even if the order is correct, you might pick a different vendor next time if you don’t like what you see, etc.

Sounds like an appropriate and kind thank you, especially with the photo. i would prefer this over a call, if that's the alternative you're thinking.

That’s a very nice, in real time thank you. I think it’s a nice way to say thanks and is actually preferable to old-school thank you cards in a lot of ways because it’s immediate.

Of course that's fine. What else are they supposed to do - send you flowers as a thank you for the flowers?

Are you objecting to the thanks? Or to the format? If you guys never text, then maybe it's a bit different than your usual form of communication (email? phone call? letter? smoke signals?). But it's still a thanks.

In the note you sent with your flowers, did you mention that sending you a photo was a requirement for accepting the flowers?

What’s the problem? This is how we communicate these days. It’s very nice that she included the pic.

How would you feel/would you care if you sent someone you consider a friend flowers for their 50th birthday (they moved away) and they sent a thank you via text with a picture of them? Is this a friend? Just trying to reality check. TIA.
