There’s a house like this coming on the market in Woodley park soon. Almost all the square footage is entirely in the basement.

Not too fond of the open spaces going up, but it does keep the top bedroom from being too isolated from the kids!

This is a house for a family with 2 kids. The basement bedrooms are guest spaces and offices.

I agree with you it's odd for this house to only have 3 bedrooms above grade. On the floorplan, the open spaces on floors 2 and 3 seem wasteful - could have had more bedrooms upstairs.

It might be a LITTLE overpriced (hard to tell without photos), but brand new house in Chevy Chase DC? Yeah, you're not getting that for under $3 million, less alone $2 million. It's not 2019 anymore.

It's going to be high end and has an elevator.
