Of course not. You’ll be able to see class lists at a center school in the fall. At a base school, you won’t really know for sure until middle school

Only good friends. This is not something we talk to people about, you'll find out when you get teacher assignments and school starts. It's okay.

All of the second graders chatted amongst themselves in our school. My child was the anomaly at first because we put the fear of God in him not to brag and make other kids who didn't get in feel bad, so parents were surprised to see us at orientation.

I guess you'll just have wait and see.

I was surprised to hear my sons group of friends discussing who was in AAP (LIII at our school, there is no LLIV for his grade) and who should be in AAP. They just finished 5th grade. It was weird to hear.

If you want to find out if your child’s friends will be then you can just ask the parent if they are going back to the same school next year. Maybe no mention AAP as local AAP will be a mixed class anyway.

Particularly, if you are staying at local level IV, do you know who else will be in local level IV? We missed the orientation, so I have no idea who else will be there.
