The kind of government worker wasn’t specified. Depending on their jobs this could even be a blue-collar/working class neighborhood.

22207 close to 22213. Most people I associate with live in $2-$3m houses, but there are a few outliers either way. The middle class people o know are two working feds and vacation to family. Most families we know take multiple big vacations a year, and I’d guess make well north of $500k a year. Ski out west, Caribbean, Disney, Europe, beach.

We live in an area of houses selling between 750-950K. Some of the neighbors have inherited the houses (especially recently) or have had family help in buying them. For this reason, we have neighbors who are not all professionals. This is a very recent thing. Not all parents who are/were successful have children who are the same. It's quite interesting.

I live in the townhouses in Vienna and our neighbors are MC - UMC with the average townHouse worth 800k-900k.
