Why on earth would you do this? This medicine is not without risks and we don't fully know all the risks of going off of it. My guess is if you took it to lose 10 pounds, and it is crazy if anyone will prescribe that when you are at healthy weight, you will lose your ten pounds and then gain 25 right after the wedding. Seriously, there are a million ways to lose 10 pounds. This medicine is for people with diabetes, pre-diabetes, or obesity. WTAF?!

Normal/ideal BMI is 19-25. Your BMI is 24.
Semaglutide is not appropriate for a non-diabetic with a normal BMI.

If you are going to a med spa then they are going to try to send you to compounded semaglutide...which, in 99% of cases, is compounded illegally. And comes with a significant amount of risks.

You are in a ‘normal’ weight range using a bmi calculator. You would be outside the prescribed uses for a semi glutide. I don’t understand why you would try to do this

Congratulations on getting married. Is it appropriate? No. Do many people do this? Probably. Not sure how you would qualify for an rx though so I’m guessing it’s compounded.
You could spend the money on a personal trainer and high quality food instead and get in the best shape of your life…it will last longer too…

I am 5'5" and weigh about 145 (yes, I know that is not 'thin' but I'm fairly happy with my appearance and have always had a curvier build, large bust, etc.). Four years ago, I lost 15 pounds (did change eating habits a bit and cut back on drinking a lot, both of which I've stuck with, but honestly was going through a stressful time, was not hungry at all and I think that made the majority of a difference). I've kept the weight off these four years, but haven't been able to lose any more.
I'm getting married this fall and want to lose about 10 more pounds, but I just cannot seem to do it. I never thought I would look into this but I have an appointment at a Med Spa to have a consult for semaglutide. Would this be appropriate for someone in my situation, and how much does it cost (they said they will give me a prescription).
No judgement please, I feel embarrassed writing this but I want to feel good about my appearance at my wedding.
