AAP math is accelerated so 6th graders in AAP take the 7th grade math SOL & need a pass-advanced (+ 92nd percentile or higher on IAAT) to qualify for placement in algebra in 7th grade. If your student goes through AAP screening in 6th grade (via parent referral) and starts AAP in 7th, they would take Math 7.
Math is not technically a part of AAP. The Advanced Math curriculum is the same for non-LIV kids and is the default math in the LIV classrooms. Math is not a part of the MS AAP curriculum at all. Most of the LIV kids from ES will end up in Math 7 Honors or Algebra 1 H. A child accept into LIV for 7th grade could have been in Advanced Math in ES.
