Op here. Mine are never relaxing. The woman talks sooo much. It’s like at the dentist when they ask you questions and your mouth is wide open already.

This one. But if it didn’t work I’d try cerave salicylic acid. It made a huge difference in two or three days. How sad that I threw over$1200 over a year at this issue that was fixed in a few days.

I go to Mean Christine in NY once a quarter and think it makes a big difference, but agree for any pampering type facial they don't do much.

Regular facials, yes. Laser facials, no.

I do think that what you do every day matters far more than what you do once a month. And also, that all skin treatments aren't equal. Many facials are little more than washing your face.

I dealt with a lot of acne last summer and stupidly thought facials may help. I found a nearby place with good reviews. It was $1000 for 14 facials as a subscription service, it's normally $140 there without one. They also do botox and other kinds of facials. I figured if it didn't clear up my skin, maybe they will help me prevent wrinkles and texture. I was very consistent with going every month but only noticed my skin would look great a week after getting my facial, and it only lasted a few days. It could have been related to my cycle. Life happened this spring and I didn't get to go for 3 months. There was NO difference in my skin tone with it getting better or worse. I found a face wash that cleared up all of the acne for $15 at CVS. Got a prescription from the derm for tretinoin, use a great moisturizer and SPF 2-3 times a day. My skin has never looked better from these few steps. Every time I leave my facial I feel scammed. I can't wait until I am done wasting an hour+ going there plus leaving a $30 tip. Every esthetician who works there is full of botox and it feels like I'm being deceived.
