I love lots of things British. In addition to many newer shows one of my favorites is The Nanny (not the American show) about a nanny during the 1930s through WWII in Britain, I had to buy the DVD boxed set to watch it again a few years back and I also had to buy a special DVD player because US players wouldn't work. Totally worth it!

My recurring fantasy us to live in a village.

(DS points out that inevitably at least one villager would be an annoying coot in any village big enough to have a pub.)

My iPhone language is British English, and I don’t apologize for the British spellings in my texts.
Maybe we should start a club or something.

At one point I was watching Call the Midwife, Downton Abbey and The Crown. I referred to my apartment as a flat, and appropriated other British-isms. I've never left the US.

I’m also a mid/late 40s lawyer, and I am drawn to all things British. The first time I went to the UK, my BFF said she truly believed I must have had a lively past life in the English countryside given how I came alive during the trip. I feel like I could be very happy living in a coastal or pastoral British village. I really escape when watching British period pieces.

Maybe you had a lovely past life across the pond, op?
