My kid is pretty hardy and would be ok tonight. She would take a bathrobe and several towels.
For a kid that gets cold easily though and would be miserable, I would skip.

Where are these pics?
This was certainly not a regular thing. My club swimmer didn’t swim while pool was closed then did the mask unless on the water for a few months. They didn’t all just move to outdoor pools.

NP - the main issue I see is keeping kids dry in between swims. Not all pools have large clubhouses with enough room for both teams and tents only go so far when there's wind involved.

I'm pretty hardy and expect my kids to be, too, but rainy and 65F for a Wednesday meet is pushing it.

Are the pools heated? I've yet to see a pool here in this area that's heated. I'm from the south and all pools were heated, but up here in the north it seems no pools ever get heated.

Some of the Arlington pools are heated.

Our Arlington pool is. Not all are but there are a few.

The water temp is fairly warm. DS wanted to stay in the water during this morning's practice despite the pouring rain.

75 is much warmer than 65. So it should be more pleasant to swim in and water temps should be warmer. l grew up in an area with much warmer year-round climate so just my assumptions.

OP here - thanks for the responses. We'll take lots of towels and warm clothes to stay warm between events then.

No, I used to live in Northern California and we had outdoor meets all year long, sometimes when it was 40 degrees.

We are new to swim team and I assumed B meets would be canceled for this evening. We got an email saying they'll most likely hold unless there is thunder/lightening. The temps look like they'll be around 64 to 67 degrees this evening. Approximately how cold will the outdoor pool water be? Wondering if my kids will be miserable swimming in these temps.
