Do better, DC area drivers.

It hasn’t rained here in weeks. The road surfaces are now covered with extra oils right now that would normally be washed off more often, so the roads are actually far more slippery right now as it’s just starting to rain than they have been for many weeks. Driving 5-10 below normal in such conditions is extremely prudent.

You’re the one who needs to “do better”, dumbass.

-a California driver who REALLY understands what driving in the rain actually means.

How does the "congenital" work if I was born in Virginia but now live in Maryland?

Very true. But OP must be the troll who is compelled to post about bad drivers every few months.

I’ve lived in many capital city areas in my life. DC is not worse or better than Paris or London. OK, Tokyo is better, but that’s because the Japanese are generally more law-abiding!

I think drivers should do a better job when they change lanes, regardless of weather.

I disagree that slowing down is a problem. A light rain can be enough to lift the oil on the road, making it slick, but not be enough to wash it away. Slowing down to give yourself extra reaction time is always safer, and if a driver feels they need to do that to be a safe driver, I’d much rather them slow down than push their limits and run into me.

This isn't an issue to "agree" or disagree on and that people "should' or shouldn't do, it's the actual law in most places. DC, Maryland, and Virginia included.

Seriously people in Virginia don’t know how to drive.

People suck at driving. The fact that you don't have recertify yourself periodically is a huge problem.
