I recently paid about $9 for a generic Roomba bumper guard which is just a foam strip on Amazon. It is one of those peel and stick strips. Seems to be helping with the chair legs in my kitchen. I read online you have to make sure you don't cover any sensors since that could effect the Roomba's ability to navigate.

We put bumpers on our roomba so it doesn’t scuff things. Meanwhile, our cleaning team has cracked a mirrored nightstand and broken the finish off multiple pieces of furniture with their vacuum. I think it’s kind of the cost of not doing it yourself

+1. My Roomba scuffed my walls worse than the Shark vacuum I have now.

I got rid of my Neato for exactly that reason.

Mine doesn't but it also doesn't do a lot of bumping off things. It's a Roborock and the usual full-house vacuuming starts with running around the perimeter and the methodically covering the rest of the space. We used to have a Roomba, early model, that seemed to do a lot more random bouncing around, and took a lot longer to finish covering our 1st floor.

We have scuff marks on the baseboards that I’m sure are partially attributable to the roomba. We’ve had one for going on 4 years. We also have 2 kids, oldest is 7, and a dog. Many things could have scuffed our baseboards.

I love it.

I have also experienced some scuff marks but I also had them from my cordless Dyson from when I've been speed cleaning and somewhat careless about getting close to the baseboards.

They do bump, but they do not leave scuff or damage. They have a very sensitive bumper that gives when it hits something. I love my Yeeti (different brand with good reviews).

I've had a Roomba for years, run it every night, and haven't noticed any scuffs or damage.

I've been considering buying a Roomba for the first time but have seen videos where they bump into chair legs and the toekicks of kitchen cabinets. Do these robots leave marks on the walls and furniture from bumping? I've noticed if I'm not careful when vacuuming, I can leave marks along the cabinets or chair legs. I love the idea of being able to run a robotic vacuum in my kitchen every day but really don't want to deal with scuff marks or damage to chair legs.
