The cost of living is high here creating displacement, then the pandemic happened and remote work has led to high earners fleeing. I don’t see as many tent encampments but I’m wondering if DC is headed in the general direction of San Fran or not. What are your thoughts?

I’ve never been - just watched the episode on Max and see San Fran in other posts/ news as it relates to drug use and homelessness. Was just curious if others who have been and lived in DC long enough to see us going from boom ( where it feels like right now - ie large developments like the waterfront for example) to bust.Anonymous wrote:I have no idea. I haven’t been to San Francisco since before the pandemic, so I have no comparison. Have you, OP? I live in DC (in what many here would consider a rough neighborhood) and still love it here.

I was just in SF for the first time since 2019. It was fine. Please stop spreading right-wing media talking points on local forums, you shill.
