Stop this madness. There are those of us who send kids to private because we can afford it and it’s easier than the crazy Publix. I agree to the point that the Ivy League path is no longer there. I myself went through private and to an IV and I see a huge difference. The better guarantee for Ivey is public but the better guarantee for sanity in grade K through 12 is private.

Trinity grad here. It wasn’t all that and if I lived in NYC there’s no way I would send my kids there.

^^ exactly. The wealth and networking are more concentrated than in most other cities except maybe LA. They donate and meet one another and scratch one another's backs more easily. Plus, more legacies.

This whole list is idiotic. The Ivies are different from one another and there are tons of other amazing schools, as well as many good ones. This is just someone stirring up clicks.

It's not necessarily that they are better. Just better known. And full of ultra wealthy families who can pay any tuition anywhere.

I've known both faculty and students at each of these schools over the years. They are all serious pressure cookers.

To be fair - this list is only about which schools sent the highest percent of kids to Ivy's (that's 8 colleges). Any reasonable human knows that this doesn't necessarily make them the best schools and that there are over 3500 colleges in this country so defining a school by how many kids get into 8 colleges is a little ridiculous.
