Because we live in the same apartment complex. It works well for our children though. Can be annoying because he will say he's busy working (doesn't wfh) and his car will be parked there. What stands out to me is not him driving past your house...but the fact that he seems to have gone to your house with a motive and reached out to you afterwards and question you on your whereabouts. That's stalker behavior.

Unfortunately I had the same thing with an ex years ago. He knew the route I took to work, and would take the same to look for me, and then reach out afterwards with questions like "why was your hair wet this morning?". It was creepy and stalking...and it escalated before I was able to see it for what it was. I stopped it in time but should have stopped it sooner.

Have never done this. There is absolutely no good reason to prolong something that is over. What would I gain by driving by?

My fiends and I did this in college, but never as an adult.

I have occasionally driven past and we broke up ten years ago.

Did it as a broken-hearted high school junior (my best friend drove and I would duck down when we passed his house, and she would tell me if she saw anything) - not since.

I may have done this in high school. I can’t remember but it sounds like something I would have done back then. I was very tortured and dramatic as a teen.

I broke up with a guy at one point and then walked four blocks out of my way for over a year on my way to work in order to AVOID walking past his building because I didn’t want to run into him or even be reminded.

I confess to doing that in college and right afterwards, decades ago. But I would have died if anyone saw me, and would have never told my ex I was there and wondered where he was. Good god.

My ex drove past my house when we first broke up (3 weeks ago) I know because he texted me asking where I was when my car was not in my driveway. I responded saying- "why do you care? So you can feel more comfortable if I am at home while you go through gigs?" He said "you're right-none of my business" & I don't think he's done it since then.
