The shower doesn’t have a leak in it, though. The water that could get out is just the water sitting on the curb. And tearing up the curb could create an actual leak by disrupting the waterproofing.

Had guest bathroom renovated and upon completion showered in it a few times. We kept a close eye on construction so I'm confident in the waterproofing, but realized after using the shower that the stone shower curb is level, so water pools up on the curb, so much so that it does not evaporate. Unfortunately we didn't notice this until well after final payment. I let our contractor know and he didn't think it was a big deal and that squeegeeing will do the trick (which is true, but I can't ask our guests to squeegee).

If we make a fuss and try to make them fix it we will have to pay for the glass company (the one renovation item not done thru GC) to come back out 2x ($300 each trip charge) and may well need a new glass panel and door ($2500). Not to mention the possibility of replacing the curb disrupting the waterproofing.

Since it's a guest bath, it'll only get used a couple weeks per year at most. It's also in the basement, so the subfloor is concrete (not wood) and thus a leak is relatively inconsequential. I'm quite annoyed, but given these factors, wonder if we are inviting problems and spending unnecessary $$ if we try to fix this. Would you try to fix, or just accept that you'll have to squeegee after guests use the shower?
