Every year in their stocking - I give my kids a coupon for a date with mom doing an activity of their choice. They have fun picking out the date idea.

I always take mine for Last Day Ice Cream, but you could also do something like, sit at the counter at a restaurant (this was apparently HUGE for my DD at that age), or go for a walk along the water somewhere.

mani/pedi, go to the movies, favorite restaurant for lunch

DD's last day of school is this week and I'm taking the day off to hang with her. She loves Starbucks so we'll get fraps ...what else would be a fun, different thing to do to celebrate? 6th grader.
