you get some help before you alienate your sister and your friends. I had a friend many years ago who blamed all her hatefulness on PMS and all her friends just dropped her. Adult tantrums are inexcusable.

Definitely just tell her. I’m very close with my sister. If she calls me, and is hopping mad about something that seems like not a huge deal, I find a way to ask when she last ate, without being condescending.

It took me a few years to learn myself, but I decided that if something was making me angry, and the timing was likely near my period, I’d wait 3 days before saying anything. It was never a big deal after 3 days.

I would be an adult and not use my period as an excuse for things. I've snapped at my sister so I'm not judging you for that. Just apologize.

Do better for heaven’s sake! See your doctor, stay away from people that you care about, or go into your bunker during this time. People won’t give you a pass forever.

I learned a long time ago that all my emotions are heightened when I’m on my period. I don’t say any big things. Definitely nothing that opens with “you know what your problem is?”

If you struggle with PMS you should look into that. Are there simmering issues below that need to be expressed? Read up on this issue with books by Dr Christiane Northrup (she’s lost it in her old age) and Dr Susan Lark

I’d have to apologize for the last 30 years. Seriously, I’m in my 50s stopped getting periods a couple of months ago and my mood hasn’t been this stable in years. If this lasts I’m going to have to rethink a lot of my self concept that included depression and anxiety bc it turns out it was mostly hormones.
