hardy has mandarin. is there not enough demand with the incoming 9th grade class?

I don't think frumin or bowser care (they are the only two with a say since it is in ward 3). i think they are the macarthur mammoths for the foreseeable future unless a group creates a big campaign otherwise.

Yeah MacArthur has what they'd call a "complicated legacy."

Hardy offers Italian so its for feeder kids

and after the wilson/JR renaming fiasco DCPS isn't going to pick a person to name the school unless a political does it for them (so the councilmember/mayor takes the heat)

I don't think frumin or bowser care (they are the only two with a say since it is in ward 3). i think they are the macarthur mammoths for the foreseeable future unless a group creates a big campaign otherwise.

This. The contractors will flood the work site with +400% personnel to get it done on time.

I lived next to Marie Reed ES when they had their big renovation back in 2016. It was a sight to behold the last 3 weeks of August. Hundreds of people working 7 days per week to get all the finishing touches done. I think the work site would shut down from 10pm to 4am, but that's it.

I'm convinced that DCPS spends 50% of renovation budgets in the last four weeks of summer break on overtime for the workers to get a new school opened on time.

I was looking at the DCPS calendar and first day is Monday, August 28, which is 11 weeks from today. Will MacArthur be ready? Will it have a permanent name?
