I ordered OPI Coca Cola Red from beyond polish online. And then I saw it at either Marshall's or TJ Maxx for around $4.

The OPI Coca Cola Red is like a true red to me. I thought OPI's Big Apple Red was a little too dark leaning.

Some red polishes have a whiter base and some reds have a darker base.

I am a white lady with some nails that grow longer and stronger than others.I polish my own nails (no gel for me). Red nails are too bold with my skin color so I typically opt for a more neutral color, mainly because the chips are less obvious.

I always wear red. I didn’t know it was such a bold move. Maybe because I have dark skin?

OP here, so I did purchase a red jelly nail polish by ILNP, Poppy, which I was going to wear on my trip. However, I felt like it was a bit immature for me. It also wasn't as much of a summer color red as I would prefer. I like my summer red nail polish to be a bit more orange.

I'm not sure about wearing neon red colors at my age.

Love red and pink! Look at Zoya and ILNP. They're my favorite two lines. I'm wearing hot hot pink on my short nails right now.

Karla Welch is wearing red nail polish, also.

My hands and nails look very similar to hers. I noticed she has visible blue veins, which I do as well. I think the red nail polish draws attention to the nails and away from the imperfections of the hands.

And this YouTuber influencer has a video on her Essie red nail polishes.

A while back, I watched Bobbi Brown's Masterclass on make up. She said someone had recommended to her that she wear red nail polish. She had short red nails.

I have always loved red lipstick and red nail polish on those Hollywood glam movie starlets from when there weren't other nail polish colors.

As I age, now in my early 50s, one of my thumb nails has ridges. I use Essie ridge filler. I find that I can't really wear lighter nail polish colors, like sheers, which I used to wear all the time.

I wear red nail polish around the holidays, and my nails always look really good.

This past weekend I wore OPI's Cajun Shrimp on my nails and toe nails. I loved the look.

The manicure lasted a week without any chips.

Does anyone else wear red nail polish?

I can really only wear clear (now I'm wearing OPI nail envy) or darker colors. It's actually easier to apply a red color in one coat and just be done with it. I don't know why I struggled so much trying to apply lighter colors of polish.

What are your favorite red nail polishes for summer?

OPI Cajun Shrimp is one of my favorites.

Essie Clam bake is not as easy to find.
