Highly unusual. What cultural background are they? It might be more common with some, or community colleges. But not common at all at 4 year universities unless someone was starting school as an older adult.

Are they in anti abortion states? Will probably become more common then.

Depends on how common Greek life is at the school.

I knew a few and they were all married to older dudes. I always wondered how to get in on that racket. Like, where does a 20 year old college student meet a single 30 year old who wants to get married and have a baby with you immediately and take care of you financially? This was pre-social media.

2 of my DD friends that went to a 4 year school will be having a baby by the end of the year... How common is it?

Are you worried that these friends are a bad influence on your DD? Just talk to your DD about your concerns and explain why you think having a baby in college is a bad idea. It is very unlikely that she will suddenly get the idea to have one just because two friends did.

They've got to be pretty dumb, in this day and age, to get pregnant. Imo. given birth control options. And yes BC can (so, so rarely) fail, so that is why you use more than one method.

Not common at all. I had a niece attend a baptist school, pregnancy is a no no even there, so are the marriages or ring by spring. They do have about 15-20% get engaged by junior year and married after graduation but those are mostly from well off religious families and often going into family business, lucrative jobs, grad or professional school.

You have no idea what their parents are paying for and it’s not screwing them over in any way.

I had a kid in school. Got married. Finished school anyway. Went on to have a happy wonderful life.
