Hyundai Palisade has buttons and knobs for all the important functions but also has a touchscreen (that works well).
A modern car is complicated enough that you can't manage all functions with physical controls.

My 2010 Jeep Wrangler Sport doesn't have one. It also has crank windows and is a standard transmission. Love that thing.

There is consumer push back on this. I have to take my eyes off the road and go through a menu to get to something simple like turning on the A/C. I think we might eventually see some laws about what automakers can put on a screen.

+1 I said this exact same thing the other day. Touch screens are more dangerous and distracting than dials.
My 2021 Forestor has dials for temp control, and buttons for what to display on the screen - radio, media, phone, etc.., and most newer models should have media and call control on the steering wheel.
The temp control on the screen is my biggest pet peeve.
DH said he read some article the other day about how Hyundais (I think it was Hyunadais) are moving back to more dial control than screen control.

You still have to use the Mazda screen though. You just don’t touch it - you use a knob. I don’t think that’s what OP means.

OP I think you’re wrong. My Subaru has a touch screen, but you don’t have to use it to operate anything in the car related to driving. It’s only for accessory stuff, like car play. You can use voice commands for that too.

I have a 2011 Cadillac CTS that at time was a “special order” zero option car.
The 2008 financial crisis seems way back but from 2010-2013 done car makers added lower cost version of some luxury cars with no gadgets.
My car has no touch screen, no navigation, no heated seats, no back up camera.
Once recession of 2008 ended we had march 2014 required back up cameras by 2018. Meaning all cars have a screen at that point. So any new model introduced after 2014 was built cameras or screens and existing models if still sold in 2018 got a screen.
You really need a 2017 model at newest with no back up camera to get no screen.

+1 Mazda though if you connect CarPlay you can use it as a touch screen. Instead, there is a know that you use as a kind of car mouse.

Seeing as touch screens are now pretty much standard I figured it’s be easier to ask which models don’t have them. We need a new car soon and I haven’t thought about cars in 15 years.
One thing is for certain - I absolutely HATE touch screens. They’re difficult to navigate while driving just to find a basic setting for something like the radio, temperature control, fan power etc. it’s so stupid. They all told us not to use cellphones while driving, yet all manufacturers do is strap a stupid iPad to the dash and expect people to navigate through menus while driving and keeping their eyes on the road. It’s never a problem in a car where I can reach out and turn an actual dial because I don’t need to take my eyes off the road. Much prefer a car with as little touch screen options as possible. What modern cars would fit the bill?
