+1 I said this exact same thing the other day. Touch screens are more dangerous and distracting than dials.
My 2021 Forestor has dials for temp control, and buttons for what to display on the screen - radio, media, phone, etc.., and most newer models should have media and call control on the steering wheel.
The temp control on the screen is my biggest pet peeve.
DH said he read some article the other day about how Hyundais (I think it was Hyunadais) are moving back to more dial control than screen control.
