Is this really what some people believe? What a ridiculous self-serving lie. What if I said "Don't most people hit their spouses at some point or another?" or "Don't most people secretly run up massive credit card bills and not tell their spouse until they are so deep in debt that it has destroyed their credit and joint financial stability?"

It actually is possible to just choose not to hurt the people you love and have pledged fidelity to.

How on earth does this person/story get published in a national magazine? Rich white lady breakup dog therapy is really a worthy thing? Seriously, how did this happen? Is her dad a publicist? Was there a journalist deal to get us the dirty laundry on mulvaney and she said only if you will publish this story on my dog bond? I really want to know how a person like this gets ink??!! So many writers/reporters out there busting their butts with unique stories and somehow she is more relevant for having a famous ex boyfriend who dumped her from rehab? I don’t get it.

Here’s what I think happened. He was spinning out into addiction and they separated. She assumed they would eventually reconcile, but they didn’t. She’s used this opportunity to pint him as a villain and her as a victim and influencer. I’ve found her smear campaign distasteful, especially making a huge fuss out of freezing her eggs despite previously not wanting kids, and acting like John having a kid in a subsequent relationship is some kind of high betrayal.

It's sad all around. Didn't he mention, maybe in standup or maybe in interviews?, how they were happy as a couple without kids? Then he's with another woman and she's pregnant almost immediately? I had the impression that some of his fans were put off by that circumstance. I do realize he was extremely addicted and sick, but I also question the choices of someone who wants to be with an addict who's clearly doing things, and making his own choices, under the influence of drugs.

He was really, really sick when he cheated on her. I watched his new special and he talks about it. He didn't talk about her, if I remember, but he describes his addiction pretty candidly. Very sad for everyone involved.

I think both suffered from mental health problems and that was a bad combo.

I do feel bad for her. I don’t think Mulaney was in his right mind when he left her…addiction is crazy.

Has anyone else been feeling badly for her? It seems like John Mulaney cheated on her. Such a bummer because I really like his standup, but I hate cheating even more.
