Yes, it was very large. But it was within the guidelines for the whole county. So this could have happened at any ES in FCPS, I suppose

Kid in one of the feeder ES.

Her class actually was pretty big. Something like 33. They just got away with having 2 classes for her grade. But the class below hers has enough to warrant 3 rooms, so the class size is pretty small.

That said, it was great. The teacher did a great job with the class size and she had a wonderful year. It's a great community.

We’re looking to move to the area next year and like Urbana a lot. I keep hearing the schools are crowded but interested to better understand what that means. If you have kids in any of the 3 Urbana elementary schools, do you mind sharing approximate class sizes. Most interested in grades 2-5, but anything would be helpful. Thanks a lot!
