My kid didn’t receive any presents for finishing 8th grade. The grandparents are excessive for every holiday and whenever they see them and they didn’t even get anything.
Give the kid a card if you don’t want to go empty handed. Don’t spend more than $10 on a Starbucks GC if you really want to buy something.
