Just eat the PB. You can overcome your triggers by first acknowledging them, which you’ve done, and then by mindfully exposing yourself to them.
So, make yourself a snack like an apple with a measured TB of peanut butter. Enjoy it. And then if you start to reach mindlessly for more, remind yourself of this and reach for some carrots with hummus instead.
And if you still can’t kick the urge to eat, eat a full meal. Like a Turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread with some avocado. You’re probably hungry and the PB craving is your body’s way of telling you to eat bigger meals. BtDT.
