I'm sure you've helped her with supplies for her dorm? Graduation festivities? I don't think parents have to get specific gifts, they provide so much support in this transition.

-some people bring flowers for DDs at the ceremony itself
-tech that would be useful at college? headphones? (my DD has some big over-the-ear ones for trying to study in the dorm)
-gift certificate to the college bookstore (should be able to print on-line), or something else near her college?
-if you have time you can swing by Tiffany they have simple initial necklaces if that's her thing

Mom fail. I totally forgot to get a gift and graduation is tomorrow. It seems like just a few years ago when I came on this site to get info on daycare/preschool and elementary school age info. My brain is trying to process things. I've avoided socializing with friends and mentally preparing to move out of my house, trying to find a better job to help pay for college. All these things are floating in my head and only tonight did I realize that I didn't get my dd anything. What did you get your child?
