It’s a cover to cougar. Hunting grounds might be better at first job, not intern, and that means the Orange Line corridor.

Yes, was about to post the same thing. I get it if mommy wants a rec for a real estate agent to help her kid find an apartment, but “cool intern bars” is too much. Let adult children find their own bars.

Tune Inn on Capitol Hill is still there ... Tortilla Coast closed (that was a classic for interns)

Not sure, but it'd be healthier and potentially cheaper to have them hang out with a kickball or pickleball team. Then the other players can direct them to the good happy hours!

Any younger DCUMers with recent experience for inexpensive bars/restaurants in DC where college-aged interns hang out? A family friend is looking for recommendations for their kid and I am so far removed from that scene. Places with generous HH or weekday specials would be great; parents are on a budget and the kid is on an unpaid internship.
