OP here. The snarky responses are really unfortunate.

There is more to a hospital tour than just the facility, which I what I was hoping to get out of Georgetown. I want to know their policies and procedures. My friends in other states got tours with useful information about hospital rules and were able to plan ahead.

I had both of my children at Georgetown. I was in very different rooms both times - and multiples rooms both times (one emergency C and one planned C), none of which were the same. Did I care? Not a bit.

What I DID care about - they were all singles.

It's not a resort! You can't book a particular room.

Hospital tours? Who knew? I think hospital beds and rooms look the same.

NP. Wow I SUPER disagree with this. I thought my hospital tour was really important and helpful. Labor is a big deal, and having an image in my mind of where I would be, what the room looks like, what the bed looks like, a sense of “okay, you’ll walk in here, then go here, then be here, and after the baby is born you go here” was really calming and helped me emotionally prepare.

I dunno what’s up with GT but I’d be bothered, too, OP. I mean, sheesh, it’s a big deal and you’ve never done it before!
