I think wine/cheese/charcuterie is nice, but for a non-food item, I took a basket of sun skincare items to a friend's lake house a couple of years ago and they liked it. Different types of sunscreen, after-sun spray, etc. Of course they'll have their favourite brands at their house, but this gives them something for guests to use who may have forgotten their own products/need more than what they brought.

Wine, cheese, fruit. A board game or a beach game.
