As an aside, this has to be the friendliest, least snarky forum on DCUM.

I want to pop in too and say thanks to all our DCUM book club posters.

The books section of DCUM used to be mixed in with the entertainment section of DCUM not too long ago. Back then it seemed like it was 90 percent discussion of TV shows / movies / celebrities and only 10 percent discussion for readers. The posts about books got lost quickly.

But now we have our very own section of DCUM and it is thriving!

Not OP but I owe DCUM a debt of gratitude for recommending Jared Diamond to me. I loved Guns, Germs, Steel and am partway through Collapse now. I particularly enjoy that his books come in audio form which is my steering preferences for nonfiction.

I am OP, it’s not just one book! The latest books I’ve read, other than for book club, have come from here. The one I just finished was Killers of a Certain Age, but it’s really just the constant supply of ideas: I read Never, I read that author who writes about Nantucket a lot, etc

C’mon, really? OP, you know you should put the name of the book.
