I like True Food Kitchen. I have always found the food to be good and they are good with allergies. There's also Seasons 52 although I don't think its especially healthy, maybe the portions are smaller.

Plants in Bethesda is good! It’s a nice spot, has some delicious menu items and is plant based. Not that all plant-based is light & healthy, but they have several options that would fit the bill.

OP here - that sounds...not great. I really want the food to be delicious. PP, do you have anyplace you've tried that might be better? Saturday means some restaurants may be closed, so not sure where we should try.

I've eaten at True Food at least 3 times, and each time my food came out too salty. I've tried!

Zaytinya is not all that special, but fairly contemporary and excellent healthy/lighter food, depending on how you order.

I have a friend coming into town on a Saturday and am excited to take her for a celebratory lunch. She prefers healthy/lighter food; I really want a special, contemporary restaurant, too. Does not need to be trendy. Bonus if in friendship heights or Cleveland park area. Thank you for recommendations!
