I (and others in my house) love hard boiled eggs. I'd like to store them shelled so that I can eat as quick snacks between work calls, etc. I realize it shouldn't take long to shell an egg but sometimes the shell gives me difficulty* and it takes longer than the 30 seconds I have between calls. My question is how best to store shelled hard boiled eggs - in a tupperware, presumably, but should I wrap them in paper towels? If shelled eggs just don't stay well even for a few days, then I will abandon this plan, but I do see them sold shelled in grocery stores nowadays so there must be some way to keep them decently fresh and not smelly.
* I've tried the tips - use old eggs, peel under cold running water, etc. Sometimes it works smoothly and sometimes not.
