Make a big container of pickled eggs. They'll last months this way. Also, they are delicious.

Steam the eggs and then place them in an ice bath. You can keep the cooked eggs in shell for a week and just peel what you need for the day to keep in a covered container.

OP here. I will store in tupperware with paper towel and hopefully will do the trick - thanks!

Yes I use old eggs - yes I put in ice water bath for 15 minutes after done - yes I peel under cold running water. Sometimes the eggs peel easily and sometimes they don’t.

Do you put them on ice bath after cooking? It makes peeling easier.

Just peel under running water.

Crack, run under water, peel.

The ones from the store (boiled/shell) have a liquid in the bottom of the bag, not sure what that is. I'm going to boil my own though and will probably just do tupperware and done (eat within a few days).

I put a paper towel in the bottom of a Tupperware, just to absorb and moisture that collects at the bottom.

I do nothing special for storage. I peel, put them in glass or plastic Tupperware, close the lid, and put in fridge. They stay fresh all week.

The ones that they sell in the store come in a heavy duty Ziploc bag and they say to use them within 5 days.

FWIW, I find the ones that I make in the InstantPot are super easy to peel.

I (and others in my house) love hard boiled eggs. I'd like to store them shelled so that I can eat as quick snacks between work calls, etc. I realize it shouldn't take long to shell an egg but sometimes the shell gives me difficulty* and it takes longer than the 30 seconds I have between calls. My question is how best to store shelled hard boiled eggs - in a tupperware, presumably, but should I wrap them in paper towels? If shelled eggs just don't stay well even for a few days, then I will abandon this plan, but I do see them sold shelled in grocery stores nowadays so there must be some way to keep them decently fresh and not smelly.

* I've tried the tips - use old eggs, peel under cold running water, etc. Sometimes it works smoothly and sometimes not.
