Nope. The nice thing about MCPS that by high school they mostly trust kids to sign up for the level of class they think they can handle so they are not looking at the testing data for anything.

It's more of a measure for schools to assess their overall performance and the district to see if they are keeping up with the rest of the country.

MAP only seems to matter for elementary school parents who really need some proof their child is “gifted”.


Well it Is used for high school criteria admissions, so wondering if it’s used for anything beyond that.

Or for those who are concerned the school ignores kids at grade level these days and wants proof their learning something.
