My kid has advanced on both SOLs. It doesn't mean she can actually do the accelerated work in the school setting (her grades are average). It doesn't really mean a lot.

Tells you how much you passed or failed by.

It’s a test for the teachers. Did the teachers teach grade level material in a way the student could learn it?

Or as PP said, the way test writers want the student to demonstrate he or she learned it.

If this score is not consistent with other performance indicators, I would be worried about cheating.

APS only cares about passing not excellence. You “meet the standard” and that’s all that matters in their eyes.
